DSL (a/k/a "always on") Internet service is a technology for bringing high-bandwidth broadband data service to Small Office, Home Offices (SOHO) and Small to Medium sized Businesses (SMB) over ordinary copper telephone lines.  DSL enables businesses to get high speed Internet access over a traditional phone line. In contrast to "dial up" Internet, which also uses ordinary copper phone lines, with DSL, when your computer is on you are always connected to the Internet- there's no logging on with user name and passwords required.  With DSL Internet service, all you need to do is plug your PCs into your DSL modem and then from your modem to your normal telephone jack.
