Analog fax lines are simply analog phone lines (a/k/a POTS lines) that are used for sending and receiving faxes instead of voice calls.  You can connect your analog fax line directly to your fax machine without requiring any special cards, interfaces or other devices.  Analog fax lines have little or no calling features.
